Li Li and I got up for an early morning shoot at one of my favorite locations. She is get so big and yet she is still so tiny. Yesterday, we went shopping and got her some new shoes. She has been BEGGING me all spring to buy her the platform flip flops and yesterday we got them. She is still in toddler shoes and her tiny little feat barely fill the 12.5 size flip flops! She struggles being just 46 inches tall and 45 lbs. She is going into the third grade in the fall & still sits in a 5-point harness car seat. Ok – her Dad is Graco’s patent atty and we do this to keep her safe, but I know that when she sees 4, 5, and 6 yr old in booster, she get so frustrated! Today when getting her hair cut, the lady got out a booster seat and I swear that she could have died as a tear rolled down her check – and the look on her face said, quit treating me like a baby. She is no baby.

Tomorrow I will post pictures of her new hairdo!

I can’t wait to see her hair! Li Li is such a beautiful girl. I’m so sorry she is struggling with her size. I always think she looks so grown up in your pictures.
Oh, I know how Lili feels! Tell her that Ashling is just turned eleven and we finally let her out of her Britex booster seat! Ashling is about three sizes smaller than her friends that are her same age. Our neighbor is a retired state trooper and he checked her belt and where it sat on her hips and he said, “another year to be safe”. I joke with Ashling that she will be a senior and still in a booster and I receive the “evil eye”! She has gotten used to it and when we travel she actually likes it because she has a place to put her head to rest. Ashling will also tell people that size doesn’t matter, she is smarter than other kids that are that size but younger! Hopefully Lili will be able to overcome it and show everyone that she is a beautiful, brilliant lady, older than the years they think of her!
